I
can ship your new Shih Tzu puppy to any airport within the continental
United States served by Delta or Continental Airlines. The
cost of shipment is an additional expense to the buyer and usually runs
about $275.00 to $325.00. Shipping outside the
continental United States and overseas is available. However,
the cost will be calculated depending upon your location.
The
Shih Tzu is a brachycephalic (short nosed) breed and is particularly
sensitive to high heat. Due to this fact, I will only ship a
puppy on Continental Airlines, with climate controlled conditions, when
temperatures are expected to exceed 75 degrees at any given point in
their journey. Since my puppies are all raised in my home and
are not accustomed to extreme cold temperatures, I also will only ship
on Continental Airlines when temperatures are expected to be below 35
degrees at any point along their route to their new home.
Arrangements can also be made to deliver your Shih Tzu puppy by ground
delivery service. The cost for this service will generally be
about $200.00 more than air shipment.
If
you are located within 300 miles (600 miles if you meet me half way)
from my home in Denham Springs, LA, I can arrange to deliver your puppy
personally. Travel charges are $1.00 per mile, one
way. In other words, if you live 100 miles from me and I
deliver your puppy to your door, the charge would be $100.00.
Regardless
of the delivery method, my
only concern is for the welfare of my babies and to see them safely
delivered to a new loving home. No puppy will be delivered to
its new home until it is completely weaned and strong enough to endure
the transport.
